| There is much confusion as to the true meaning of an uncontested divorce. An uncontested divorce is not merely both parties agreeing to get a divorce. Rather, it is an agreement between you and your spouse as to the disposition of all of the issues, such as custody, child support, visitation, allocation of property, division of debt, etc. When there is agreement by both spouses in all these areas then the divorce is labeled "uncontested." |
