Stephen E. Smith, Jr., born in Paducah, Kentucky, received bachelor's degree in History and Political Science, magna cum laude, from Murray State University and his Juris Doctor from Salmon P. Chase College Of Law at Northern Kentucky University, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class and was selected to join the Order of the Curia. A member of the McCracken County, Kentucky and American Bar Associations, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Defense Research Institute, Kentucky Defense Counsel and Kentucky Bankers Association. Mr. Smith is also a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Paducah, Kentucky, Inc. and a past president of the Propeller Club, Port of Paducah. His practice includes admiralty and maritime, appeals and appellate, employment practices, insurance defense, corporate/business law and civil litigation.
